Green Pea Playdough

This playdough is so soft and aromatic, I couldn't stop touching or smelling it! Bubbles thought it was pretty great too. :)
Bubbles wanted to pay with some playdough and as I had some pea puree left over from dinner the night before (which Squiggles had made quite clear she did not like!) I decided to try making some green pea playdough!

I invited Bubbles to play with the dough by placing it on a platter with some rocks, bark, sticks, branch cut offs, and a handful of frozen peas and parsley. I imagined Bubbles having fun with the branch cutoffs but she was more enamoured with the frozen peas. We talked for quite awhile about the difference in temperature of the warm playdough and cold peas; and then about how the peas started off hard and then got softer.

Green Pea Playdough Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups plain flour (we used Gluten Free)
4tbs Cream of Tartar
1 cup salt
2 cups pea puree
2tbs lemon infused olive oil (you can use normal cooking oil but really I think this was the true star of the recipe)
Method:
Mix all ingredients in a saucepan.Stir over medium heat for 3-5minutes or until the mixture congeals.
Remove from heat and dump on a lightly floured bench and cool slightly.
Once cool enough to touch knead until smooth.
This playdough last for about 2 weeks when stored in an airtight container in the fridge.

Please always supervise your infant/child at play.  Please stay within arms reach and never leave infants/children unattended.  You know you're infant/child best, use your own judgement-considering your infant/child's temperament, habits, behaviour and development before you play with a new play medium.
